About Me

A personal focus on health and a desire to help others inspired Mary Kay Pinnick to begin a career in the health field by completing her B.S. in nursing from Indiana State University in 1976. Before that time, she was busy raising three children. Because she was fascinated with the mystery of the mind, she went into the field of psychiatric nursing.

In 1981, she moved to California and acquired a nursing position at the Neuro-Psychiatric Institute at UCLA. However, her primary concern was to explore systems of medicine that provide healing of the body, mind and spirit. This quest led her to the Santa Barbara College of Oriental Medicine. She graduated in 1987, having completed extensive studies in Oriental Medicine including acupuncture, herbology, shiatsu massage, meditation and relaxation techniques. She maintained an acupuncture practice in California until her move to Walla Walla Washington in 1997.

Mary Kay has studied the healing systems and health practices of many cultures. As a result, she has developed a deep appreciation for the "art" of healing. Her studies also include hypnosis, dreams, colors, symbolism and mythology. She received her hypnotherapy certification from a master hypnotist at the Association of Research and Enlightenment in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

She is dedicated to providing holistic care and focuses her attention to the belief that true health involves the whole person.
